I think i have corrupted my database somehow -- I have two candles for the same ticker on at same time stamp at the same exchange -- anyone have any ideas what that could be?
enraged3rdgrader Can you provide us the data/ticker of the duplicate?
Do you have started import-candles in paralell once? My only thought is if both task of creating the candle started at the same time, none will be skipped.
ah -- i think maybe it was something like that -- its for this call: research.get_candles('Bitfinex', 'ETHUSD', '1m', '2017-11-05', '2017-11-06')
does anyone know how to flush my candle db?
enraged3rdgrader One way of course, is just to drop the database and start it fresh again. Maybe there's a less destructive way.
forgive me im not super familiar with postgres -- how would i do the dropping?
On a linux system with postgres running locally, you could do something like this assuming your postgres user is postgres and password is also postgres ... psql -U postgres -h localhost jesse_db then enter the password when prompted... then run delete from candle; and then type \q to exit. From there, you can run jesse import-candles again to add data back to the db.
psql -U postgres -h localhost jesse_db
delete from candle;
How do you know that you have duplicate candles in the first place? I'm pretty sure at no place duplicate candles are stored.
I am not sure -- I just had the same issue again though!
